Admission to The Henrietta Barnett School for Year 7 is by academic selection, with a First Round Entrance Test in Verbal and Numerical reasoning, followed by a Second Round English and Mathematics test. The School receives in excess of 2000 applicants for Year 7. Occasionally places become available out of year in Years 8-11. Applicants who have indicated a continued interest in admission to the school are invited to sit In Year Admissions entrance tests in English and Mathematics. Admissions to Year 7 for Entry 2017
National Offer Day for 2017 is on Wednesday 1st March 2017. Places will be allocated by the Local Authority on this day on the basis of the school’s final ranking of the top 300 candidates and on parental preference as indicated on the Common Application Form (CAF).
Those who are offered a place at the school will be contacted after National Offer Day and invited in on Thursday 2nd March. Those who are on our Waiting List will also be contacted about their Waiting List place.

Admissions to Year 7 for Entry 2018
The consultation period for the 2018-19 Admissions Policy ended on 31st January 2017 and the 2018/19 Admissions Policy has now been determined. It can be found here.
Open Days for 2017 Entry will be on Friday 14th and Monday 17th July 2017 from 9am-12.30pm. There will be the opportunity to hear the Head and some of our students speak, as well as to have a tour. There is no need to book in advance of these days.
Registration for Application will open online in April 2017 and will close on Monday 17th July 2017 . The Round One Entrance Test for 2018 Entry will take place on Tuesday 5th September 2017. The top 300 candidates will be invited to sit the Round Two Entrance Test in the first two weeks of October 2017.
