Admission to The Henrietta Barnett School for Year 7 is by academic selection, with a First Round Entrance Test in Verbal and Numerical reasoning, followed by a Second Round English and Mathematics test. The School receives in excess of 2500 applicants for Year 7.

Admissions to Year 7 for Entry 2018
National Offer Day for 2018 was on Thursday 1st March 2018. Places have been allocated by the Local Authority on this day on the basis of the school’s final ranking of the top 300 candidates and on parental preference as indicated on the Common Application Form (CAF).
Those who were offered a place at the school were contacted on National Offer Day and invited in on Friday 2nd March. Those who are on our Waiting List will be contacted about their Waiting List place.

Admissions to Year 7 for Entry 2019
The consultation period for the 2018-19 Admissions Policy ended on 31st January 2018 and the Admissions Policy has been determined by the Governing Body. The Determined Policy can be found here. The Entrance Test Entry Form for 2019 entry will open at the end of April 2018.
Open Days for 2019 Entry will be on Friday 13th and Monday 16th July 2018 from 9am-12.30pm. There will be the opportunity to hear the Head and some of our students speak, as well as to have a tour. There is no need to book in advance of these days.
Registration for Application will open online in April 2018. The Round One Entrance Test for 2019 Entry will take place on Tuesday 4th September 2018. The top 300 candidates will be invited to sit the Round Two Entrance Test in the first two weeks of October 2018.
