Appeals Parents whose preference of school is not met have the right to appeal to the Appeal Committee under the Education Act 1980. Appeals are seldom successful because we offer places in strict rank order. Admission is on academic ability only. In 2007, 1182 applications were received for 93 places. There were 5 appeals heard for Year 7 this year, one was successful.
