Green Team Volunteering for Mitzvah Day

Green Team

On 17th November, the Year 12 Green Team members were lucky enough to volunteer at Kenwood House for Mitzvah Day, which is a day dedicated to making a difference in our local community. Mitzvah Day is a day primarily celebrated in the UK, but this year, an estimated 40,000 people participated around the world. Though it is a Jewish-led initiative, traditionally Mitzvah Day marks the beginning of the UK National Inter Faith Week, and one of its aims of is to bring people together of all faiths and none, to volunteer side by side, with fun and laughter. When we arrived at Kenwood House, we were tasked with clearing away leaves from a pathway which is used by the public. Initially, it appeared to be a lot to do but working together as a team, we were able to clear the leaves
