HBSA – Former Students Annual Dinne
About 60 former students and staff gathered together on Thursday for tours of the school and the Annual Dinner. This included a group who left 10 years ago, a large group who left 40 years ago in 1978, someone who left in 1966 and many others! A big thank you to the Year 12s who gave up their time to do tours (which the former students loved!), and of course to Susie Gregson and committee who organised the event. The atmosphere was wonderful and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, regaling tales of needlework classes, as well as the best and worst of teacher memories! It was fascinating talking to them all and hearing where life had taken them. For example the four pictured above (who left HBS in the mid-1990s), have 2-3 children each and are working as: a Child Psychiatrist at Great Ormond Street, a Theatre Director, a Lawyer and the former Head Girl amongst them had spent 20 years working for Unicef and is now working for the United Nations. It is inspiring and heartwarming to catch up with the wider HBS family, all sharing that special HBS bond. An excellent event to coincide with International Women’s Day!
