On the 13th of March, Geography Society were proud to invite the esteemed Dr Robert Muir-Wood, lead author of 'The Cure for Catastrophe' and head of research at Risk Management Solutions, to lead a session about the reduction of human disaster impacts. This intriguing talk was not only insightful but also beneficial for A level geographers studying the course this year, as it closely links with our studies. We explored various methods of risk and disaster reduction to enhance our knowledge of the subject. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the informative talk given by Dr Muir-Wood.
