GCSE EXAMINATION RESULTS 2012
Following the outstanding A level results last week, which placed The Henrietta Barnett School as the top girls’ state school in the country at A level, and the school with the highest proportion of A* grades, the pupils, parents and staff are delighted with the GCSE results announced today. This year’s results are one of the best in the school’s history. There are many individual success stories to celebrate, from girls achieving the astonishing feat of gaining 11 A* grades at GCSE, to others who have achieved fantastic results in very difficult circumstances. We are very proud of the achievements of our Year 11 girls, who have worked with great determination.
Mr Blond, Head Teacher, said today “These fantastic results are a tribute to the great energy, enthusiasm and character of our Year 11 girls. They are a very supportive year group and their examination successes tell only a small part of their story. Behind the headline figures, each girl has contributed wholeheartedly to the friendly and enabling atmosphere of the school. I want to thank them for their hard work and commitment. Congratulations must go to the girls themselves but also to all of their teachers who have taught, encouraged and supported the girls throughout the year. Education is about much more than getting good grades and, in addition to their exam success, these girls have continued to get involved in all aspects of school life and are bright, ambitious and thoughtful young people with so much to offer. They have a very exciting time ahead of them and everyone at the school is very proud of them and their achievements.”
The achievement of our all our pupils is the result of their talent, hard work and enthusiasm in addition to the outstanding teaching and support from their teachers and parents.
