On the 17th and 18th of March, the library was buzzing with strategy as HBS hosted its first-ever House chess competition! With 6 players representing each team, a total of 36 intense games were played across two days. The competition was extremely tight with the lead shifting until only the very last round.

Ultimately, Hazel secured the top spot securing 12 points, narrowly beating Rowan who finished a close second with 11.5 points. Willow took third with 7 points followed by Maple with 6.

A huge well done to the players for all theirs sportsmanship!
