Physics Society Guest Speaker: Asim Khwaja

The Physics Society recently had a talk from Asim Khwaja, a globally recognised expert in technology risk, cybersecurity and post-quantum cryptography. Asim has spent more than 20 years protecting high risk technological infrastructure used by banks, airlines and governments. He has also recently released a book: Convergence of AI and Quantum: A ‘Rather’ Personal Journey.

The talk was mainly attended by students from Years 11 to 13, as well as some younger students, and all were engaged and inspired to share their knowledge and understanding throughout, asking insightful questions about both complex physics and broader career options.

We are very grateful to Asim for giving this talk and for donating a copy of his book to our school library. Thanks also to Mr Mihir Shah, HBS parent, who contacted the school with the opportunity suggestion and to Riya S and Richa S for assisting in the planning stages.
