Student Triathlon Success

By Serina S, Year 9

A group of HBS students (Year 9: Iniya, Ailun, Joline, Shresta, Spoorthi, Kyara, Ziana, Serina, Tanya, Ananya, Diya, Year 8: Chloe, Abha, Year 7: Yoyo, Claire), decided to take on the challenge of a triathlon to raise funds for our school in the summer holiday. We completed a 300m swim, a 5km cycle, and a 2.4km run at the 2012 London Olympic venue, Eton Dorney.

The event was a fantastic success, with all participants showing incredible determination and hard work. Training and competing together brought students from different forms and year groups closer and formed new friendships while supporting a great cause for our school.

Through our teamwork and determination, we raised £1039, an incredible feeling, knowing that our training and effort made a real difference. Crossing the finish line was tough, but we’re proud we pushed through and achieved it.
