We were delighted to welcome Emma Spitz to speak to Year 12 and Year 11 students during the Lifeskills slot last week.
Emma is an experienced executive coach and former HR specialist with a background in financial services. At the Executive Coaching Consultancy she supports leaders through career transitions and has, in particular, supported and championed women in the workplace. She provided sound advice to the students on how to make good decisions about their future and how to shape their careers based on self-knowledge and an understanding of Strength Theory. She also stressed the importance of self-reflection, appreciating our ‘stand-out strengths’ as well as recognising when we are ‘overplaying’ them: every strength has a ‘dark side of the coin’!
It was an interactive and thought-provoking session and we are very grateful to Emma for coming in.
