We are delighted to introduce our forthcoming HBS production – ‘Blue Stockings’ by Jessica Swale, set in Girton College, Cambridge, 1896. The title refers to ‘bluestockings’, a derogatory term for female intellectuals. The action involves four highly talented female undergraduates and their campaign to be allowed, like their male colleagues, to receive a formal degree qualification at the end of their studies.
Rehearsals are well underway and our super cast are enjoying exploring creative characterisation, whilst developing their performance skills with impressive enthusiasm and commitment.
We invite you to join our audience to watch this exciting and relevant play. A great opportunity to bring your children too, to what promises to be a memorable theatrical experience.
Performances take place at 5 pm on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th November.
We will let you know when tickets are available to be purchased via your Parent Mail Account.
