On Friday, 18th September: for the first time, ATHLOS lit up the iconic StoneX Stadium, making its debut on the world stage. Our girls were beyond fortunate to attend the women only track and field event, and witness a piece of history.

And it was incredible. Covered and sponsored by official broadcasters, such as the BBC and Nike, ATHLOS is an all female event in which 6 global leading elites compete in each track and field event, all fighting for the chance to wear the glorious Tiffany and Co. Crown.

The night involved everything, from fireworks and merch guns to music, glitter and a light show. Not to mention the star studded lineup, which included Olympic champions, such as Keely Hodgkinson, Sha’Carri Richardson and Gabby Thomas. Even Serena Williams was seen in the stands!

We were lucky enough to stand alongside the red carpet, and get autographs and photos from some of the global phenomena, such as Keely, Gabby, Shaunae and many more. Our girls even featured on the big screen on the day and in some event interviews!

Overall, it was truly an unfathomable experience – a massive thanks to Miss Rodwell for getting us this opportunity, and the teachers present: Mr Haigh, Ms Eyres, Ms Gallimore (and Miss Rodwell, of course!) for making the night possible.
