In September, the PE department received new pickleball equipment including balls, paddles and nets. Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, table tennis and badminton and because the court is smaller, it is easy to learn and very social whilst also being exciting and fast paced.
Its accessibility makes it great for players of all abilities to get involved, to stay active during the school day or just have fun with some friends. It has already become a favourite amongst students, with many playing the game on the MUGA during lunchtimes and free periods, and we hope that pickleball will continue to grow in popularity, encouraging even more students to give it a go!
A huge thank you to the PTA for funding this equipment and helping to introduce students to the sport – we are incredibly grateful for your support.
