GCSE EXAMINATION RESULTS 2024

Following the outstanding A level results last week, the students and staff are delighted with the GCSE results announced today, which seal HBS’s reputation for producing consistently some of the best results in the country at this level. There are many individual success stories to celebrate, from the students achieving the astonishing feat of gaining 11 grade 9s at GCSE, to others who have achieved fantastic results in very difficult circumstances. We are very proud of them all.

These impressive results are a tribute to the great energy, enthusiasm and character of our Year 11 cohort. They are a very supportive year group, and their examination successes tell only a small part of their story. Behind the headline figures, each student has contributed wholeheartedly to the friendly and enabling atmosphere of the school. We want to thank them for their hard work and commitment, and we look forward to them further realising their potential when they join the Sixth Form. They have a very exciting time ahead of them!

2024 GCSE Results

• Over 88% of the results were at grades 9-8
• 65% of the results were at grade 9
• 96% of grades were 9-7
• 81 (78%) students achieved at least 9 grades 9-8
• 11 (11%) achieved all grade 9s
• 100 students achieved grade 9-8 in Maths with 83% achieving grade 9
