Merry chaos probably best describes the event going on in the Main Hall and Geography rooms on Friday afternoon (10th July) when a number of alumnae returned to talk to the Year 12 about their first year at university.
It is always a delight to see former pupils return, looking so confident and speaking with real energy and enthusiasm about their undergraduate studies. Between them, they covered a wide range of universities and an impressive array of subjects. Our Year 12 enjoyed talking to them and there was a real buzz, despite the heat. We finished the afternoon with handing out A level certificates, and it is a testament to their affection for the place and each other, that alumnae conversation could still be heard in and around the quad until nearly 4pm!
As with all school events, I couldn’t have done it alone. Thank you to all my colleagues who helped me facilitate the event in a variety of ways.
