Over the last two half terms, every student from Years 7-9 has given a solo speech to their English class on a topic of their choice. From these, each class selected one student to represent the class in a final. The finals took place in assemblies before the whole year group, and were judged by a combination of Year 12 English Prefects and members of the Senior Team. All agreed that the standard of speeches was exceptionally high, from the challenging topics chosen, to the range of persuasive devices used, to the delivery of the speeches (many students spoke with no notes and combined their speech with elements of drama and comedy).
Well done to the winning speakers -Tanvikaa V (Year 7), Advika A (Year 8), and Ashvy S (Year 9)!
