We are delighted to let you know that all 60 Year 8 and 9 candidates passed their recent Grades 1 to 5 LAMDA Acting examinations at HBS, achieving 58 Distinctions and 2 High Merits!

Demonstrating highly impressive commitment and creativity throughout this first LAMDA course of the academic year, the KS3 students approached their showcases and examination days with tremendous energy and focus, and well deserve these super results. Well done all.

LAMDA at HBS is a life changing experience. It’s a great way to meet new people. If you are introverted, you learn techniques to express yourself through Drama; if you are extroverted, you will discover opportunities to broaden your horizons. As Year 9 students, LAMDA is an exciting and valuable way to round off our KS3 experience.

LAMDA Youth Leaders

Well done also to our 29 Year 10 LAMDA Youth Leaders, many of whom applied for this role as their Volunteering for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. We also had a significant number of Year 10 students taking part simply for their love of Drama and LAMDA. With guidance, the LAMDA Youth Leaders supported the KS3 LAMDA students with their characterisation, rehearsal technique and staging, building up their own confidence, leadership skills and friendships along the way.

I have found that it has not only helped me improve my leadership skills especially with knowing when to step away, but also my confidence in both my acting and directing skills.
