Admissions to Year 7

Admission to The Henrietta Barnett School for Year 7 is by academic selection, with a First Round Entrance Test in Verbal, Non-Verbal reasoning and English, followed by a Second Round English and Mathematics test.

ENTRANCE TEST INFORMATION: SEPTEMBER 2026 TEST FOR SEPTEMBER 2027 ENTRY

Applications for the Entrance Examination in September 2026 for Entry in September 2027 are now closed. We do not accept late applications.

Round One took place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th September. Round Two took place on Tuesday 6th October.

Communicating Outcomes

Parents of Round Two candidates have been emailed with next steps. For further information please refer to the Admissions Policy 2027-2028 below.

Please note: Scores and rankings will not be released for candidates invited to sit Second Round Two tests on the basis that those who may eventually be offered a place at the School should arrive as equals.

The Published Admission Number (PAN) for September 2027 entry is 120.

OPEN DAY – SUMMER 2027

The date of the next Open Day has not yet been published but will take place in the summer term 2027. Details will be available on the website once confirmed and tickets will have to be booked. The school does not hold a register of interest.

We only hold one open day a year and do not offer individual visits nor small group visits to the school.

If your daughter is successful in securing a place at the school, there will be an opportunity to attend the Offer Holders event at the beginning of March.
